Clemson Player Reveals What Team Did Night Before Alabama Game

(Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)Following their incredible 44-16 win over Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, the Clemson players were asked how they prepared for the Crimson Tide.Clemson wide receiver Hunter Renfrow revealed that the team watched the movie Rocky III the night before the game in order to get “fired up.”It’s a fascinating choice to be sure, as the plot of Rocky III does have some similarities to the position the Tigers were in: Losing to a seemingly unbeatable foe before getting avenging the loss in a rematch.The move seems to have paid of, as Clemson dominated Alabama en route to the blowout victory and their second national title in three years.Hunter Renfrow said that the Clemson team watched Rocky 3 to get fired up the night before the game.
